FIVE TO INSPIRE: ROSA KRUGER’S VINEYARDS

Mas de Daumas Gassac in Languedoc was inspirational. I went to see [the late] Aimé Guibert in 2006 and he taught me several things about viticulture: think outside the box, follow the flow of the land and put your ear to the ground.

Heroes of the Hérault

“At Mas de Daumas Gassac, four brothers are carrying on the work of their father and estate founder Aimé Guibert, embracing innovation while maintaining the estate’s reputation for producing a “grand cru” of the Languedoc” – Andrew Jefford

TASTING NOTES

Tasting notes of the Mas de Daumas Gassac White 2020 and the Mas de Daumas Gassac Red 2019. “this has to be the most complex and intriguing red in the whole world.”

STORY OF MOULIN DE GASSAC

A decade or so after the launch of their first award-winning wine, the Guiberts came out with Moulin de Gassac, named for a Gallo-Roman mill that once stood in the vineyard property.

O PRIMEIRO GRANDE VINHO DO LANGUEDOC

FRENCH TOAST: A SALUTE TO SAINT GUILHEM

The wine we are pouring comes from the same area as the cloister of Saint-Guilhelm-le-Désert. Made from equal portions of Syrah and Carignan grapes, its label proclaims Guilhem wine to be “un vin comme autrefois”—
a wine like old times.
